I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel...— Numbers 24:17

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.— Matthew 2:1-2

Homosexuality

The Inbred Sin of Heterosexuals & Homosexuals

It’s a popular saying these days. “I was born this way!” I’m sure you’ve heard it. Or maybe you’ve heard something like, “It’s in my blood!” or “It’s in my genes!”. As for sexual orientation, homosexuals really believe that they have been born that way. Nevertheless, Jesus Christ said:

“YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.”John 3:7

The Savior of the world uttered these words as a message of hope and freedom for lost sinners. There is no excuse for living in sin. Not even the fact that you were born in it! There is something tragically wrong with Mankind. We are born sinners! Speaking of this, David said, “…in sin did my mother conceive me” (Ps. 51:5). This is an inbred problem. We are sinners by nature. If we just do what we want and follow our feelings we will naturally end up sinning against God (Rom. 5:12-14). You could say that sin is a part of our spiritual genetics. Literally, it is a hereditary problem that we have inherited from our parents dating all the way back to Adam and Eve. This is the inbred foe of heterosexuals and homosexuals!

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” - John 3:3

A spiritual new birth will make a difference. Your choice of lifestyle will be different. Your idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness will be different. Think about it! If you are blind to the things of God, or if you cannot see the Kingdom of God, as Jesus said, then you will live by your own rules of conduct and morality while thinking that you are doing a good job. You will spend your days chasing after your best self as a sinner. You will work hard, live with pride, eat well, enjoy your free time, and you will make sure to take care of yourself above anyone or anything else. Believe it or not, these were the ideals of society in Sodom and Gomorrah.

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.” – Ezek. 16:49-50

When self is enshrined as “god” in any society, then divine judgment is just around the corner. Sodom and Gomorrah learned this the hard way. They lived proudly, fully, abundantly, and selfishly, and then they began to commit the abominations of homosexuality…and God took them away!

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” - Jude 1:7

“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;” – 2 Pet. 2:6

Look around you! The cultural ideals of Sodom and Gomorrah are thriving in America. Hundreds of thousands of sodomites regularly parade their sins in the streets of our cities! Clearly, we as a nation are on the same crash course as Sodom and Gomorrah. People are living proudly, fully, abundantly, and selfishly in a rich society, and as a consequence, this country is being given over to abominable forms of sexual sin! These things are explicitly condemned in the Bible.

“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” – Lev. 18:22

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” – Lev. 20:13 [Deut. 23:17]

What’s the problem? An abomination is something that is hateful and disgusting in the sight of God. It should be hateful and disgusting to you too! Honestly, according to the Bible, the sin of homosexuality is a form of sexual abuse. Why? Because men and women are abusing themselves in a defiling, unclean, unnatural, and hurtful form of sexual pleasure.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators…nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind…shall inherit the Kingdom of God.” – 1 Cor. 6:9-10

“…them that defile themselves with mankind” – 1 Tim. 1:10

Without getting into graphic detail, can you see why the Bible identifies homosexuals as abusers of themselves with mankind (1 Cor. 6:9-10)? Without describing the sights, smells, and the toxic inconveniences of these sexual acts, can you see why homosexuals become dirty and defiled in the process? It is uncleanness (Rom. 1:24). It is dirty, unhealthy, harmful, unsightly, and unseemly (Rom. 1:27). It is beneath the dignity of mankind (Gen. 1:26-27)! These are vile affections (Rom. 1:26)! The people dishonor their own bodies between themselves when they change the natural use into that which is against nature (Rom. 1:24, 26).

Homosexuals need to reckon with all the inconveniences of homosexuality, not the least of which is the inability to procreate! Repent, my friend. Humble yourself before God! Literally, God didn’t create men to live this way. Evidently, you shouldn’t do those things which are not convenient (Rom. 1:28). It’s not good for you! Beware, lest you anger God any further with your abominations! Consequentially, you will be given over to even greater forms of sexual perversion, such that are outlawed even by the heathen society.

“For this cause God gave them up…”Rom. 1:26

“God gave them over to a reprobate mind”Rom. 1:28

A life given over to sin is a total catastrophe! Time will tell. This is your opportunity to get right with God before you die in your sins! If only sinners would give their lives to God, they would find that there is power in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:16). Be reconciled to God! You can meet with God personally. You can know God spiritually. If you come into contact with the real person of Jesus Christ, you will not be the same person that you were before: Are you dirty and defiled? Then you will be washed! Are you unholy and unclean? Then you will be sanctified! Are you condemned? Then you will be justified (1 Cor. 6:11)! The new birth is a regeneration of the person (1 Cor. 6:11, Titus 3:3-7). “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17).
